At705 Kentucky Derby/Freight Hubs APR 24-03 MAY

This tour is limited to 30 people because of high demand and prices for hotels in Kentucky.
It will also be possible to visit several other airports, not listed, en route.

Flying With :-

Day 01

We depart from the U.K. with KLM to AMSTERDAM. We have a short time

Sat 24th

in transit before our onward flight to DETROIT with DELTA, arriving

mid-afternoon. We have the rest of the day free at DETROIT before

checking into our airport hotel.

Day 02

We have most of the day free and can visit WILLOW RUN airport and

Sun 25th

PONTIAC. We then have an evening flight to CINCINNATTI, where we

pick-up our minivans. Our hotel for the net 2 nights is near the viewing

park.

Day 03

We spend today in the CINCINNATI area and can visit BLUE ASH,

Mon 26th

MIDDLETON / HOOK FIELD and LUNKEN airports.

Day 04

Depart after breakfast to visit COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL,

Tue 27th

RICKENBAKER, WRIGHT PATTERSON AFB and MUSEUM and

finally INDIANAPOLIS. This is a fairly big hub for FEDEX. Our

overnight hotel is here.

Day 05

After a visit to the airport we head towards ST.LOUIS and have the rest

of the day here and at other local airports and our hotel is next to the

terminal area.

Day 06

We depart from ST.LOUIS and drive to MEMPHIS. We spend the

remainder of the day here and our hotel overlooks the FEDEX ramp.

We spend the evening watching the inbound wave of FEDEX arrivals,

until the early hours.

Day 07

A late departure ( if you wish ) before driving to NASHVILLE and

Fri 30th

SMYRNA. Then it's onwards to LOUISVILLE and our overnight hotel.

Again we watch the late evening UPS arrivals.

Day 08

Today is Derby day. We spend the whole day watching arrivals for

the event. We include visits to several local airports in Kentucky,

including FRANKFORT, LEXINGTON, BOWMAN FIELD. At the end

of the day we drive back to CINCINNATI and our hotel there.

Day 09

We spend the morning at the viewing park, before returning the

minivans and checking in for our lunchtime flight to MINNEAPOLIS.

We have several hours in transit before our onward flight back

to the U.K. via AMSTERDAM,

Day 10

We arriving back in the U.K. at about lunchtime.

Mon 03rd

The cost of the flight is only £529 for this tour. For which
we act as sole agents for Bon Voyage who give a financial guarantee and issue
a separate receipt for ATOL purposes. ATOL2913
